Georgie Ashton

Ms Georgie Ashton, BSc, BA, MPsych(Clinical), MCouns&PsychTh, Hakomi Graduate, is a Clinical Psychologist who has been practising across public and private health sectors since 2006. In addition to her Clinical Psychology qualifications, she has completed a second Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy (ACAP), 3 years of mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy training (Hakomi) and one year of relationship therapy training (H.E.A.R.T).

Ms Ashton brings a broad range of experience to her practice, having worked in acute mental health care settings including private practice, crisis assessment and treatment teams, prison, and trauma services. She is experienced in treating people with a wide range of psychological and relational problems and draws from a wide range of therapeutic interventions to suit the needs of each individual. She has particular skills in bringing mindful awareness and somatic experience of the present moment into her work, inviting clients to have the new or missing experiences that can facilitate deep change.
