Dr Ute Vollmer-Conna

Dr Ute Vollmer-Conna, BSc, Psych (Hons 1), PhD (Psychoneuroimmunology).

Dr Vollmer-Conna has a background in academia (A/Professor in Psychiatry, UNSW) with over 30 years’ experience in mental health research and care. She is internationally recognised for her publications in the field of psychoneuroimmunology and mind-body medicine.  Her research demonstrates that physical and mental health are intimately connected, and both are fundamental to overall wellbeing.

Dr Vollmer-Conna served as the Student Wellbeing Advisor for UNSW Medicine for 10 years as part of her academic appointment within the School of Psychiatry. In this clinical role she provided care and assistance to students who experienced difficulties of a personal, psychological, psychiatric, or medical nature over their 6 year Medicine course.

Using evidence-based strategies, Dr Vollmer-Conna brings an individualised, inclusive, and collaborative approach to therapy. Her interests include conditions relating to stress, current or early trauma, life transitions, and psychological difficulties arising from medical conditions.
